Eden Taharani and her guide dog Jema were our special guests from Israel last week.
During their 3-day visit, they met with over 400 children at Yavneh Primary School, Naima JPS and Immanuel College Primary. Eden shared with the kids how she grew up as a child with blindness and how Jema had enabled her to achieve her ambitions and lead the independent, fulfilling life that she craved.
The children watched a short video showing Eden participating in the Israeli X-Factor and in a fashion show in Milan.
“Being blind doesn’t mean you’re different. It means you can still do everything other people do, just in your own special way. You can do anything you dream of!”, said Eden (while Jema was enjoying lots of tummy rubs).
