ISRAEL AT WAR – SOLDIERS SUFFER EYE INJURIES IN GAZA

The current situation in Israel has been presenting several challenges to our work. But sadly we know that the biggest one is yet to come. Recent news reports in Israeli media mention hundreds of soldiers with eye injuries, and approximately 15% resulting in vision loss. 

We have started preparing for an exponential rise in demand for guide dogs and PTSD (post-trauma) service dogs.

We are in the process of recruiting three new guide dog trainers, each will be working with 10-12 dogs a year once they are certified.

We have also been diverting more dogs into our breeding programme, to increase the number of new puppies born at the Centre.
