PARTNER | Chance – male yellow Labrador |
Famous Israeli actor Imri Biton (you may have seen him in Valley of Tears) appeared to have everything. But inside, he was being eaten up by PTSD as a result of his experiences in the IDF.
His life was spiralling out of control, until he was partnered with his service dog Chance.
Specially trained by the Israel Guide Dog Centre, Chance has transformed Imri’s life: “I feel less anxious. Chance is always with me and he is the best thing that has happened to me.”
Sadly, there are thousands of Israelis whose lives have been destroyed by this debilitating condition, whether through their military service or terror attacks. But thankfully, the Israel Guide Dog Centre is now training special service dogs to bring PTSD sufferers back from the brink.
I feel less anxious. Chance is always with me and he is the best thing that has happened to me.
A full PTSD service dog partnership costs the Israel Guide Dog Centre £36,000 and our clients nothing, as we give them this service free of charge. To help us provide more trained guide dogs for people like Imri please donate today.
