Bracha Ben-Avraham is a tandem biking enthusiast, world traveller, and accomplished musician who enjoys performing Irish traditional music and Israeli and American folk music.
Born with only partial vision she managed to make do without mobility aids for many years. However the day came when her vision began to deteriorate and she knew it was time for a guide dog.
Bracha has worked as an ‘ambassador’ for the Israel Guide Dog Centre and has travelled to the UK, USA and Canada many times. In fact in 2013 Bracha and her then guide dog, Dinka became the first ever guide dog partnership to enter the UK following the change in quarantine laws.
She is also a freelance translator and has translated many periodicals and books from English to Hebrew and vice versa.
Bardot and I feel our bond growing each and every day.
A full guide dog partnership costs the Israel Guide Dog Centre £40,000 and our clients nothing, as we give them this service free of charge. To help us provide more trained guide dogs for people like Bracha please donate today.
