SUPERHERO DOGS FOR SUPERHERO HUMANS

We are so proud to have several Paralympians, marathon runners and Iron Men amongst our clients.

In January it was Dror Carmeli’s turn to participate in the Israman competition in Eilat – Israel’s full/half iron distance triathlon, with swimming, biking and running. Dror (58), a software engineer from Ashdod, was born with a vision impairment which grew worse over the years. Twelve years ago he was partnered with his first guide dog Lyn, and after her retirement in 2019 he got his current dog Nero. “I’m a person with blindness, not a blind person,” says Dror. “Lyn and now Nero are a huge part in my feeling like I can do anything and everything I set my mind to.”

Another superhero is our Patron Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg, who ran last month the Jerusalem Marathon and raised some much-needed funding towards our training programme.

And last but not least, a bike ride to raise awareness for PTSD and for Service Dogs is happening in May. Watch this space!
