There are over 1,000 children with blindness in Israel who will one day be able to use a guide dog should they choose.
In October we hosted our annual event on our campus in Israel for these children and their families. The children got to meet, cuddle and walk with some of our superhero guide dogs, rode tandem bikes with sighted volunteers and enjoyed specially designed activities.
Getting familiarised and building confidence around dogs is a crucial first step for those children when they choose to partner with a guide dog as adults, and judging by the number of smiles we’ve had – this was a roaring success!
